Day 2, History, Beauty, Friends!

Off to Wyoming we head to stay with a long-time railroad friend of Steve’s. Great weather, great time. First stop was Little Bighorn Battlefield. The history and scenery was amazing. Our Crow Indian tour guide talked to fast and lost me so I took pictures of grasshoppers. Then it was across the way to the Crow Trading post for lunch and t-shirt shopping. The best Indian Flatbread Taco you can imagine. By the way, before we left on our journey I was going through journals to see which one I wanted to bring and low and behold I found a $100 bill I had stashed in there while living alone at the lake house before Steve and I married 2 years ago. Bingo…..souvenir t-shirt money!

Sheridan, WY. Friends & Wildlife

Roy and Peggy were our hosts in Sheridan, WY. Oh my gosh, Peggy is 14 days younger than I am and if we lived closer together we’d be just like sisters.

After a visit at the house, Roy and Peggy took us on a wildlife viewing trek around Sheridan. Bison, huge herd of deer, antelope, and wild turkey in a yard. (Pictures below). They treated us to a scrumptious dinner at Wyoming Cattle Co. We then toured downtown Sheridan and all it’s cute sculptures, then proceeded to stay up until 1 a.m. talking. I can’t wait for our trip back there next September. We plan on a week back there with a trip into Yellowstone.

Tomorrow off to South Dakota.
